The correct name of the legal entity is "The Turner Family". The Turner Family operates in St. Helena with Immigrant status as permitted under the Immigration Control Ordinance 2008, and holds the applicable residence and work permits to authorise its activities.

The proprietors use, and reserve the exclusive right to use, the name "Burgh House" for ventures, commercial and otherwise, operating in St. Helena and its dependent territories, but have no relationship, commercial or otherwise, with ventures using the name "Burgh House" outside St. Helena and its dependent territories (some of these are listed here). The proprietors have also previously owned UK companies (now closed) including "Turner Projects Limited", "Shop Select UK" and "JT Management Limited".

‘Burgh House’ is pronounced with a soft ‘g’ - as if it were ‘Burr House’.
